The BMW E81/E82/E87/E88 is the first generation of the BMW 1 Series range of small hatchback, coupe and convertible cars, which were produced from 2004 to 2013.The beastly looking 1M coupe will be today on our test bench for a stage 1 remap.
The 1 Series M Coupe shares its three-liter, twin-turbocharged inline six with several pre-2011 BMWs (and still with the BMW Z4 sDrive35i).
BMW claims it can get from 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, which isn’t far off the 135i’s low-five-second-range time. Our E82 1M coupe is manual and is already fitted with some hardware mods.
All n54 engines are equipped with the siemens continentals MSD8x engine management system which can be easily tuned by the obd2 diagnostic port without the need of opening.
We never use any kind of parallel tuning devices (tuning boxes) as they are always have a lot of side effects when real power is required.
Our stage 1,2,3 custom software is flashed through that port and it can and will transform your car to a racing tool as long as your vehicle is serviced and maintained perfectly. Here is some results including the before and after dyno measurements from this 1m Coupe.
The N54B30TO engine comes with 340ps (250.1kw or 335bhp) and 450nm(332 lb ft) from factory but in our case this E82 1M coupe was already fitted with and aftermarket inter-cooler and exhaust system so the power output was already higher then normal.
Stock power with hardware mods : 358Ps and 558NM
Tuned with stage 1+ Gt-innovation Software : 401 Ps 628 Nm
The use of 98 or 100 octane is required for this particular application and our figures above are with 100 octane premium fuel.
