This extension allowed us to begin comprehensive testing of all known functions and methods. These tests are crucial for laying the groundwork for the ECU flashing and programming procedure. After several months of testing, we developed a groundbreaking method for re-flashing the ECU. Utilizing a state-of-the-art reflow machine, we guarantee precision and reliability in the soldering process.<\/p>\n<p>Our reflow method will only change if we manage to access the ECU firmware by exploiting a vulnerability to execute arbitrary code. This approach aims to gain passwords from the HSM module or develop a method to overwrite functions that disregard these passwords. We have fully reverse-engineered all the basic operating system functions, as well as several parts of the HSM call functions. Our extensive experience in reverse engineering previous generations of Bosch and Siemens engine management systems has accelerated the process.
